»Nordic Impressions« is Sabine Eichner’s tribute to Clara Schumann – a woman and a composer who lived and worked in the dichotomy of her own passion and social conventions. Eichner approaches Clara Schumann’s work from numerous directions and throws light on the various influences that can be found in her works: among them Brahms, Grieg’s »Haugtussa« and her marriage to Robert Schumann. A presentation explains the significance of this special selection as part of the Clara Schumann anniversary year.
