The Percussionists of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra
The concert programme of the Elbphilharmonie and the Laeiszhalle cannot go ahead as planned due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. This event has to be postponed – we will soon inform you about an alternative date here.
In recent years, the percussionists of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra have regularly appeared as an independent group of soloists. Under the name NDR Percussion, they focus primarily on the highly varied percussion repertoire of the 20th and 21st centuries. For their next project, they join forces with two award-winners of the 2019 Concours de Genève. The two young percussionists Hyeji Bak (Korea) and Marianna Bednarska (Poland) have evolved a programme together with the NDR musicians that will perform music from many different parts of the world in a wide variety of formations.
