»In my opinion a composer, just like a poet, a sculptor or a painter, has a clear duty to serve the people. It’s his job to embellish and defend life. First and foremost, he must be a citizen, so that his artistic power deliberately praises human life and leads people into a bright future. I believe that this is the inalterable law of art.« (Sergei Prokofiev)
