Bridge between East and West

Concerts at the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle are currently subject to coronavirus-related restrictions. This event is therefore going ahead with an amended programme and reduced seating capacity. There will be two concerts on 13 December 2020 at 18:30 and 21:00 – Go to replacement concerts

The Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt moved to Germany 29 years ago. Since that time, it has cultivated a repertoire that blends the music of its former home with western-European classical music. Formed in Tbilisi in 1964, the chamber orchestra started a new chapter in its history in Ingolstadt in the early 1990s. Despite the geographical rupture, they continue to cherish their eastern-European identity to this day, and build bridges with their programmes between the cultures of east and west.
