As a child, the Bulgarian pianist Evgeni Bozhanov collected international piano prizes the way other boys his age collected Panini stickers. Over the last few years he has made a name for himself predominantly as an interpreter of Chopin: Bozhanov has won the prestigious International Chopin Competition and was awarded the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik for his Chopin recordings. No surprise then that the Polish composer is on the programme for this concert in Hamburg.
