»Anyone who listens to them will want to get up and dance, and glide like the hours between evening and night« wrote Süddeutsche Zeitung about Bolero Berlin. The ensemble of Berlin Philharmonic musicians is famous for their improvisations and unusual arrangements of famous melodies by composers such as Piazzolla, Bizet and Ravel.

Playing Cuban boleros and Argentine tangos first began as an experiment by the Berlin Philharmonic musicians. But the ensemble’s first few concerts were a triumphant success. The line-up is just as new and unusual as the arrangements they play. It includes a viola, bass clarinet, seven-string guitar, double bass, piano and percussion instruments. With chamber music concision, with passion and artful improvisations, the musicians fill every hall with their incomparable sound.
