Boulangerie with Enno Poppe
Enno Poppe is one of the most important figures in today’s younger generation of composers. He approaches sound with the critical distance of a scientific observer. In his hands, the material incubates, grows and proliferates like a living culture. At Boulangerie, an event that combines music with conversation, Poppe will be answering questions and talking about his work »Trauben«.
Boulangerie combines concert and salon, forging a link between the traditional chamber music repertoire and the music of today. Each of their appearances is dedicated to a contemporary composer, who is present during the concert and talks about his work with the three musicians. The focus of the talk is not a musicological analysis of the works, but personal reflections on the music. At the end of the evening, the artists and the audience continue the dialogue over baguette and wine.
