Hamburg has been something of a stronghold for poetry slams for quite some time now, with slam events held here more often than anywhere else in the country. Everything from major slams to small-scale slams. Sometimes elegant and classic, sometimes thoughtful and prosaic – but always mightily impressive. At the »Best of Poetry Slam«, the finest poets in the land go head to head, this time compèred by David Friedrich. In the end, as always, the audience votes – and determines a winner.
