»Muster« – ePhil
Hypnotic and radical
Electronic music that unravels into pure improvisation. A chain reaction of action and response, with a stream of ever-new contrasting inspirations. Bretschneider and Jelinek, known together as »Beispiel«, bring about an aura that is hypnotic and radical all at the same time.
Just a ten-minute walk from each other’s studio, years of mutual admiration for each other’s work and a fascination for modular synthesizers and experimental setups – these were the starting points for countless sessions together, which Bretschneider and Jelinek finally condensed down to make their first album »Muster«.
Jan Jelinek is a multifaceted sound artist and music producer who also releases danceable minimal electronics under pseudonyms like »Gramm« and is known for incorporating dub and soul into his music as »Farben«. He’s produced audio radio works for the German broadcaster ARD and presented his works at the »Moers« Festival and »Donaueschinger Musiktage«.
