Anne-Sophie Mutter
Hamburg International Music Festival
To Anne-Sophie Mutter, Mozart is a »hero«. When she and the Kammerorchester Wien-Berlin dedicate a whole evening to him at the Elbphilharmonie, they bring together what belongs together: the violin concertos of the musical genius who composed with an exceptional delicacy of touch, and the perfection, the unparalleled brilliance of sound and the experience from a 40-year career, the like of which only one violin virtuoso can currently boast. Anne-Sophie Mutter recorded all of Mozart’s concertos with the London Philharmonic Orchestra back in 2005. With the Kammerorchester Wien-Berlin, she now has a top-class ensemble supporting her. After all, its members belong to the world’s best orchestras, the Vienna and the Berlin Philharmonics.
