Anne-Sophie Mutter
Hamburg International Music Festival
- Livestream
Anne-Sophie Mutter calls Mozart »her hero«. When she devotes an entire evening at the Elbphilharmonie to the composer, accompanied by the Kammerorchester Wien-Berlin, two things come together that belong together. On the one hand, the violin concertos by the musical genius to whom composing came more easily than to anyone else, and on the other, the unprecedented brilliant sound and the experience of more than 40 years on the concert platform, which only one violin virtuoso can currently boast. As long ago as 2005, Anne-Sophie Mutter recorded the complete Mozart concertos together with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She now has one of today’s top ensembles at her side in the shape of the Kammerorchester Wien-Berlin, which formed of members of two of the world’s best orchestras, namely the Vienna Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic.
Please note: Hamburg’s port anniversary celebrations take place from 10-12 May in the immediate vicinity of the Elbphilharmonie. As a result, access to the Elbphilharmonie is restricted. Closures and restrictions during port anniversary.
