»Music is only touching when it tells a story. And I am on the track of upcoming storytellers.« The success of Anne-Sophie Mutter’s searching in recent years is evidenced by the numerous young musicians who have gone through her support programmes and who have now claimed their rightful place on prestigious international concert stages. This season she is performing in a quartet with three exceptional up-and-coming stars.
Ye-Eun Choi, Vladimir Babeshko and Pablo Ferrández have all been giving concerts alongside Anne-Sophie Mutter for many years – for the violinist, there’s no question that the power of music to connect generations always works in both directions. Together on stage, they become storytellers, tracing pivotal stages in string quartet history with compositions by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.
