Alexander Krichel / Piano Recital
»Beethoven – Liszt: Sturm und Wanderjahre«
30-year-old Alexander Krichel is one of the most promising pianists of his generation. After studying in Hanover and London, the Hamburg-born musician returned to his hometown. Since being crowned ECHO Klassik’s »Newcomer of the Year« in 2013 for his impressive debut CD for Sony Classical, he has released a string of enthusiastically received recordings. In 2020, to mark the Beethoven anniversary, he presents the piano concertos of the great master as well as a solo programme in which he juxtaposes works by Franz Liszt – Beethoven devotee and the nineteenth century’s greatest Beethoven interpreter – with those of his congenial mentor.
