Mischa Maisky is regarded as one of the world’s best and most charismatic cellists. Maisky has a burning passion for Romanticism, both as a man and a musician. He now gives a guest performance at the Elbphilharmonie with the oldest and most respected orchestra of his adopted home, the Brussels Philharmonic. Their chief conductor Stéphane Denève, who has an international reputation for the exceptional quality of his performances and programmes, strives to establish a dialogue between the great classics and the repertoire of the future.
