A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
Traditional Story for the Stage with Music
Together with the story of the birth of Jesus as narrated in the Bible, Charles Dickens’s »Christmas Carol« of 1843 is presumably the most frequently-told Advent story: on Christmas Eve, of all days, the old miser Ebenezer Scrooge is paid a visit by four ghosts, and rediscovers his compassion at the end. Director and producer Martin Mühleis stages a musical version of this traditional story – tailor-made for Miroslav Nemec and Udo Wachtveitl. The popular police inspectors from the Munich-set episodes of TV series »Tatort« are the perfect cast for the story’s typically droll British humour.
