»170 Days in Nanking – The Diaries of John Rabe«
Jiangsu Performing Arts Group
Winter 1937/38: the Chinese city of Nanking is ablaze and more than 250,000 people are barbarically killed. The Japanese army has invaded and is spreading terror everywhere it goes. A safety zone, set up by a small group of foreign doctors, missionaries and business people, offers the only place of refuge in this hell. Led by the Hamburg businessman John Rabe, they defend the refugee camp with everything they have, saving the lives of more than 200,000 Chinese people.
Please note: This event will be sung in Chinese with German surtitles.
