Ganz alltäglich beginnt die Geschichte der »Familie Don Quichotte«: Auf der Bühne steht ein Himmelbett, der Vater spielt mit seinem Sohn, ehe die Mutter ihn zudeckt. Aber dann … … wer will denn schon schlafen? Lieber schlägt man noch ein Buch auf, das man heimlich unter der Decke liest. Aber die Figuren des Buches erwachen nachts zum Leben, die Vorhänge des Bettes entpuppen sich als Türen. Der Junge verwandelt sich in Sancho Pansa, der Vater zu Don Quichotte und klettert aus den Seiten des Buches. Gemeinsam machen sie sich auf und folgen den Spuren von Cervantes’ Geschichte. Das alles bedarf keiner Worte. Zwei Pantomimen durchstreifen die Welten, die von den vier Instrumenten beschrieben werden. Durch Bilder und Klänge angeregt entspringt der Phantasie eine Geschichte, die nicht nur Kinder auf eine poetische Reise mitnimmt. Am Ende dieser Reise weiß man nicht mehr ganz genau, ob das Erlebte wirklich nur ein Traum gewesen ist.

Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.

Foyer: 60 minutes before the start of the event
Hall: 30 minutes before the start of the event
Events with pre-concert talk:
