Zum Auftakt der Kammermusikreihe versammeln sich im Kleinen Saal der Laeiszhalle lauter gute alte Bekannte. Die Starbratschistin Tabea Zimmermann begleitete bereits die erste Elbphilharmonie-Konzertsaison als Residenzkünstlerin. Der spanischen Oboist Ramón Ortega Quero, Gewinner des ARD-Wettbewerbs 2007 und des ECHO Klassik 2011, gastierte hier als Rising Star. Den Geiger Antti Tikkanen kennt das Hamburger Publiukum vom Finnen-Festival »Rantakala« als Primarius des besten finnischen Streichquartetts »Meta4«. Die Pianistin Silke Avenhaus war schon bei Tabea Zimmermanns legendärer Bratschennacht dabei; sie hat innerhalb weniger Jahren mehr als 20 CDs mit Klavier-, Kammer- und Orchestermusik auf großen Labels veröffentlicht. Dazu gesellt sich noch der Cellist Maximilian Hornung, laut ZEIT ein »Frühvollendeter, der die Abgebrühtheit eines Routiniers mit der Unbekümmertheit des Springinsfelds verbindet«. Tabea Zimmermann, die Frau »mit der schönsten C-Saite der Welt« (György Ligeti), hat neben einer Bach’schen Gambensonate Werke ihrer Bratschen-Kollegen Paul Hindemith und Benjamin Britten aufs Programm gesetzt, die einen nicht nur in der Besetzung vielfältigen Abend versprechen.

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
