»Swing King« Andrej Hermlin and his big band go on a journey to 1930s America, to the golden age of a genre that is experiencing a remarkable renaissance today − swing! In addition to unfamiliar original arrangements, the repertoire includes numerous well-known melodies by the famous orchestras of the swing era, such as Benny Goodman or Glenn Miller as well as special arrangements by Andrej Hermlin. The Swing Dance Orchestra is authentic down to the last detail: the sound, the arrangements, the microphones and music stands, the instruments and the clothes are all exactly like the American originals from back then.
