Susanne Szambelan / Pallavi Mahidhara
Works for violoncello and piano by Polish composers
A convincing duo
The Hochschule für Musik »Hanns Eisler« in Berlin has produced two brilliant graduates, the Polish cellist Susanne Szambelan and the Indian-American pianist Pallavi Mahidhara. Both are praised by the press for their individual finesse on their respective instruments. And they play in the best company: the young cellist has already had the privilege of playing with artists such as Daniel Hope, Noah Bendix-Balgley, the Vogler Quartet as well as the Berlin Philharmonic’s Karajan Academy. Pianist Pallavi Mahidhara has performed solo and orchestral concerts on five continents. Among them are important festivals such as the Gstaad Menuhin Festival and the Ruhr Piano Festival. The two musicians now perform as a duo at the Laeiszhalle.
