Nordic Concerts
So jung und schon so begehrt! Das kann man an diesem Abend über beide Stars sagen, die zum Auftakt der Nordic-Concerts-Reihe auf der Bühne stehen. Der gerade mal 35-jährige Yannick Nézet-Séguin ist designierter Dirigent des Philadelphia Orchestra. Seine kometenhafte Karriere begann bei den Salzburger Festspielen, wo er vor drei Jahren die Premiere von Gounods Oper »Roméo et Juliette« dirigierte. Die Konzertsaison 2011/12 wird jetzt sein großes Jahr. In Rekordzeit absolviert Yannick Nézet-Séguin seine Debuts mit beinahe allen wichtigen Orchestern der gesamten Welt. Ebenfalls in Salzburg sprang die damals 17-jährige Veronika Eberle vom Karrierebrett. Sir Simon Rattle protegierte sie nach einem gemeinsamen Konzert mit den überschwänglichen Worten »außergewöhnlichste und begabteste Musikerin, die ich je gehört habe«. Besser geht’s nicht, oder? »Neuer Star am Dirigentenhimmel« interpretiert mit dem »vielversprechendstem Violintalent« und dem Rotterdamer Orchester das »Wunder in Mozarts Schaffen« – so Alfred Einstein über das vom erst 19jährigen Mozart komponierte Violinkonzert G-Dur KV 216. An diesem Abend haben die Hamburger die Chance, herauszufinden, was es mit diesem Franzosen auf sich hat, der die Herzen und Dirigentenpulte der Welt im Sturm erobert.

Since 1908, the Laeiszhalle has been a meeting place for Hamburg's musical life. The neo-baroque Laeiszhalle Grand Hall accommodates over 2,000 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Facilities for ladies are located behind the cloakrooms on all floors. Facilities for gentlemen can be found on the landing between the floors, also located behind the cloakrooms.
A fully accessible toilet for persons with mobility disabilities is located behind the cloakroom on the ground floor (Parkett links).

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
