New Year’s Concert / Symphoniker Hamburg
»Seid umschlungen, Millionen!« – Be embraced, o millions! The New Year’s Eve concert traditionally sends monumental sparks flying: a prominent ensemble of soloists, the EuropaChorAkademie and the Symphoniker Hamburg under the baton of Stefan Soltesz, who was the much-fêted director of Essen’s Aalto Theater until 2013, present Beethoven’s Ninth, which a contemporary reviewer described in one word as »a miracle«. Happy New Year!
