At the New Year’s Concert 2025, the Flügelfundus Foundation will be presenting well-known works by Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert and Dvorak, among others, whose cheerful mood is perfect for the start of the year.

The programme will be opened by the already internationally successful scholarship holders Stefan Bonev and Andrey Denisenko, the latter together with his wife, concert pianist Daria Podushko. Also performing will be 19-year-old Louisa Sophia Jefferson from Hamburg. She will receive a special grant for young talents, awarded for the first time by the Flügelfundus foundation.

The Hamburg Young Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Justus Tennie will play excerpts from Antonin Dvorak’s Czech Suite. The grand finale will be the Piano Concerto No. 27 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with Michelle Candotti at the piano.

The Flügelfundus Foundation supports young, talented pianists who are at the beginning of their professional career and gives them a jump-start for their concert career.
