Viele Karrieren beginnen mit einer Absage: Nachdem Andrei Korobeinikov 2006 für den erkrankten Ivo Pogorelich beim Klavierfestival »La Roque d’Anthéron« eingesprungen war, schrieb der Rezensent der Zeitung »Le Monde« begeistert von einem »der besten Konzerte des Festivals«. Heute erhält der 1986 geborene Pianist, der im Alter von 19 Jahren sein Studium am Moskauer Konservatorium mit Auszeichnung abgeschlossen hat, bereits Einladungen aus aller Welt (er trat u. a. in der Londoner Wigmore Hall und in der Suntory Hall in Tokio auf). Seine 2008 erschienene CD-Einspielung mit Klaviersonaten von Skrjabin wurde mit dem Diapason d’Or und dem Diapason de la Découverte ausgezeichnet. Die 1992 in Seoul geborene Geigerin Hyeyoon Park gewann 2009 als die jüngste Teilnehmerin beim 58. ARD-Musikwettbewerb den 1. Preis sowie zwei zusätzliche Sonderpreise. Im selben Jahr wurde sie im Rahmen der Kronberg Academy mit dem Prinz-von-Hessen-Preis ausgezeichnet. Park, die an der Korean National University of Arts und am Cincinnati Conservatory of Music unterrichtet wurde, studiert derzeit bei Antje Weithaas an der Berliner Hochschule für Musik »Hanns Eisler«. Als mehrfache Preisträgerin der Deutschen Stiftung Musikleben spielt sie eine Violine von Lorenzo Storioni, Cremona 1781, aus dem Deutschen Musikinstrumentenfonds.

Since 1908, the Laeiszhalle has been a meeting place for Hamburg's musical life. The neo-baroque Laeiszhalle Grand Hall accommodates over 2,000 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Facilities for ladies are located behind the cloakrooms on all floors. Facilities for gentlemen can be found on the landing between the floors, also located behind the cloakrooms.
A fully accessible toilet for persons with mobility disabilities is located behind the cloakroom on the ground floor (Parkett links).

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
