Nana Mouskouri’s fairy-tale career began when she won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961. She became a star overnight in Germany and across Europe with her song »The White Rose of Athens«. Fifty years later and with more than 250 million CDs sold, Mouskouri is still the second most commercially successful female singer of all time – trumped only by Madonna.
