Max Diller & Blossom
Jazz at the Kulturcafé
World-weariness and hope
Great uncertainty abounds, brought about by an age of global crises and an awareness that mankind is having an irrevocable impact on the environment. With his band Blossom, the trumpeter Max Diller explores this new gloom and asks through music what effect global crises and social upheavals have on us humans – always in search of a glimmer of light. Insightful and melancholic songs with titles such as »After the Rain«, »Sun Dance« and »Wind« invite the listener to take a moment, to think about the past, and to be open to the new. The young band with an unusual line-up draws a vibrant picture that achieves a delicate balance between world-weariness and dystopia on the one hand, and hope, optimism and awakening on the other.
Jazz at the Kulturcafé is a monthly event presenting the most promising upcoming artists in the jazz and singer-songwriter scene. It is the perfect experimental platform for musicians and bands from Hamburg and all over the country. The atmosphere is laid back – and admission is free!
