At the age of 20, Lyuta Kobayashi holds scholarships from Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, the Jürgen Ponto Foundation and the Thuringia Ministry of Culture and Science for the musically gifted. In 2022 he was admitted to the Study Foundation of the German People. Kobayashi was a member of the Bundesjugendorchester (German Youth Orchestra) and has been a student at the State College of Music and the Fine Arts in Stuttgart since 2021. He has won numerous competitions, among them the 2022 German Music Competition. The programme of this recital at the Laeiszhalle features music by François Devienne, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms and Jörg Widmann. Lyuta Kobayashi is accompanied by Julian Becker.

Enjoy the concert with the young talents even more – after savouring some refreshments beforehand. Head to the Brahms Foyer from 15:00 to 15:45 for coffee, tea and cake. Please note that the way from the Recital Hall to the Brahms Foyer is not accessible and that the number of seats is limited.
Julian Becker was born in Hanover in 2005, and enrolled as a young student of the organ in 2021 at the HfMT in Leipzig and a piano student at the HMTM in Hanover. In addition to his piano and organ studies, Julian Becker also works as a composer. Several of his compositions have already been played in public, and his Fantasy for Trumpet and Piano was awarded a prize at the German national competition »Jugend komponiert«.

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
