Sinistre, disastro« spielt Paul Lewis folgendes Werk: Johann Sebastian Bach: Choralvorspiel »Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland« BWV 659 (Bearbeitung für Klavier von Ferruccio Busoni) Die georgische Geigerin Lisa Batiashvili ist eine Spezialistin für feinste Abstufungen in Ausdruck und Dynamik, eine fantasievolle Gestalterin und eine Kammermusikerin, der nicht die geringste Nuance ihrer jeweiligen Begleiter entgeht. In Paul Lewis, dem einstigen Meisterschüler des legendären Alfred Brendel, hat sie einen kongenialen Klavierpartner gefunden. Das musikalische Traumpaar präsentiert sich in Hamburg aber nicht nur gemeinsam mit Violinsonaten, sondern auch getrennt voneinander mit Franz Liszts Klavierstück »Unstern! Sinistre, disastro« S 208 und Georg Philipp Telemanns Fantasie D-Dur TWV 40/17 für Violine solo. Eingebettet sind diese Solostücke in Franz Schuberts Sonate A-Dur D 574, die der große Liedkomponist schlicht mit dem Untertitel »Duo« versehen hatte und seinem nicht minder virtuosen »Rondo brillant« h-Moll D 895, das mit wilden Läufen nicht geizt. Aus dem Violinsonaten-Zyklus von Beethoven haben die beiden die frische und helle Sonate G-Dur op. 96 ausgewählt.

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
