Noch bevor das neue CD-Album »French & 20th Century Wind Quintets« des Bläserensembles »Les Vents Français« überhaupt auf dem deutschen Markt war, wurde es zu Beginn dieses Jahres in Japan bereits mit dem »Record Academy Award« im Bereich Kammermusik ausgezeichnet. Aus dem großen Repertoire der Bläserquintette und -sextette stellen der Schweizer Flötist Emmanuel Pahud und seine fantastischen Kollegen in Hamburg wahre Preziosen vor: Das klangsinnliche Sextett c-Moll op. 40 der französischen Romantikerin Louise Farrenc steht dabei dem spätromantischen Sextett B-Dur von Ludwig Thuille und dem Quintett für Klavier und Bläser von André Caplet auf der Schwelle zur Moderne gegenüber. Die besonderen Tonqualitäten französischer Bläsertechniken treten aber auch in den spielerischen »Trois pièces brèves« von Jacques Ibert und dem Sextett FP 100 von Francis Poulenc hervor, der für Bläser eine besondere Vorliebe hatte.

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
