Rising Stars nominiert vom Wiener Konzerthaus und Musikverein Wien
Im Goldenen Saal des Wiener Musikvereins debütierte die junge niederländische Cellistin Harriet Krijgh erst in der Saison 2014/2015. Danach war ziemlich schnell klar: Der Wiener Musikverein und das Konzerthaus Wien werden Krijgh als »Rising Star« der European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) nominieren. Auf großen Musikfestivals in Schwetzingen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern oder beim Haydn Festival Eisenstadt war Krijgh da bereits länger ein gern gesehener Gast, gemeinsam mit dem NDR Sinfonieorchester auch in Hamburg schon zu erleben. In Österreich hat die 23-Jährige auf der malerisch gelegenen Burg Feistritz das Festival »Harriet & Friends« gegründet, bei dem sie sich mit befreundeten Kollegen jeweils im Sommer ganz der Kammermusik widmet. Kammermusik ist nun auch das Thema ihres Rezitals mit der aus Moskau stammenden und heute in Wien lebenden Pianistin Magda Amara. Aus Österreich stammt auch die Komponistin Johanna Doderer, die von der ECHO mit einem Werk für Cello und Klavier beauftragt wurde, das Krijgh und Amara neben der Cello-Sonate op. 58 von Mendelssohn Bartholdy und der Sonate d-Moll op. 19 von Sergej Rachmaninow aufführen.

Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
