Description
Ramona Beyer and Germán Gajardo Torres come from two countries separated by an enormous distance: Chile and Germany. The musicians formed »Guitarra a Dos« in 2007, and they have worked on several joint projects since. Over the years, they have turned their attention to historic performance practices and have taken part in opera performances as a Baroque guitar and chitarrone duo. The »Guitarra a Dos« repertoire includes works from the Renaissance to modern times, with a special focus on the oeuvres of Spanish and Latin American composers such as Manuel de Falla, Agustín Barrios Mangoré and Isaac Albéniz. Latin American art songs by Violeta Parra, Eduardo Falú and Iván Riffo have also found their way onto the duo’s programme.
