Gudrun Schaumann begegnete der historischen Aufführungspraxis durch Nikolaus Harnoncourt am Mozarteum Salzburg und dessen langjährigen Weggefährten Johann Sonnleitner und Anthony Spiri. Sie gastierte in der Wigmore Hall London, der Weill Recital Hall in der Carnegie Hall New York, dem Lincoln Center New York, im Wiener Musikverein sowie im Wiener Konzerthaus, in der Philharmonie Berlin, im Konzerthaus Berlin, auf österreichischen und italienischen Kammermusik-Festivals, in Kanada, Japan, Asien etc. In diesem Konzert spielt sie eine Violine von Antonio Stradivari aus dem Jahre 1731 mit Darmsaiten. Mit Entdeckungsfreude und unvoreingenommener Vielseitigkeit dem Geheimnis des Klanges nachspüren, das ist das musikalische Credo von Tobias Koch. Ebenso unorthodox wie lebendig spielt er Cembalo, Clavichord, Tangenten- und Hammerflügel, Orphika, Pedalflügel, Orgel und romantischen Konzertflügel – und gestaltet darauf ein weitgespanntes Repertoire, das von Orlando Gibbons bis in die unmittelbare Gegenwart reicht. Vom unwiderstehlichen Klang alter Klaviere magisch angezogen widmet er seine Konzerttätigkeit exklusiv historischen Instrumenten und gilt als einer der profiliertesten Hammerflügel-Spezialisten. Eine umfassende musikalische Laufbahn führt ihn durch ganz Europa.

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
