Description

Ernest Bloch is one of the 20th century’s lesser-known composers. Stylistically, his music belongs to the school of modern impressionism, and Bloch dedicated himself first and foremost to Jewish cultural traditions – e.g. in his three sketches for cello & chamber orchestra »From Jewish Life«, with which the Symphoniker Hamburg open their series of chamber concerts.
