Endlich ist der weltweit gefragte Cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras wieder mit dem Ensemble Resonanz in Hamburg zu erleben. Der Artist in Residence des Hamburger Kammerorchesters präsentiert sich im Resonanzenprogramm »Ramifications« gewohnt vielseitig: Neben Solo-Werken für Violoncello von Lutoslawski steht eine Sinfonie des von Queyras hochgeschätzten Haydn sowie Musik für Streichensemble von Ligeti, Lutoslawski und Bartók auf dem Programm. Ligetis »Ramifications« (Deutsch: Verästelungen) ist dabei zugleich Namensstifter des Programms und adäquates Einstandswerk für Queyras` Dirigierdebüt beim Ensemble Resonanz. Live zu erleben, ist Jean-Guihen Queyras bereits am 23. Februar 2011, 18 Uhr, im Kulturgespräch im Elbphilharmonie Kulturcafé. Der Eintritt ist frei. In der öffentlichen HörProbe, am 25.02., 18:00 Uhr, geben Jean-Guihen Queyras und das Ensemble Resonanz zudem Einblick in ihre gemeinsame Probenarbeit und präsentieren Auszüge aus dem Konzertprogramm. Der Eintritt ist frei. Im Lauschangriff direkt vor dem Konzert findet diesmal ein Vorkonzert statt: Schüler des Gymnasiums Blankenese haben sich im Rahmen von Klangradar 3000 mit Ligetis »Ramifications« auseinander gesetzt und unter der Anleitung des Hamburger Komponisten Leopold Hurt eine eigene Komposition entwickelt. Since 1908, the Laeiszhalle has been a meeting place for Hamburg's musical life. The neo-baroque Laeiszhalle Grand Hall accommodates over 2,000 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Facilities for ladies are located behind the cloakrooms on all floors. Facilities for gentlemen can be found on the landing between the floors, also located behind the cloakrooms.
A fully accessible toilet for persons with mobility disabilities is located behind the cloakroom on the ground floor (Parkett links).

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
