Edita Gruberova kommt in den hohen Norden. Am 8. März 2012 wird die Sopranistin das Hamburger Publikum in der Laeiszhalle mit von ihr gesungenen Arien begeistern. Edita Gruberova interpretiert beispielsweise Arien aus La Sonnambula von Vincenzo Bellini und La Fille du Régiment von Gaetano Donizetti. Die Sopranistin studierte am Konservatorium in Bratislava, wo sie auch geboren wurde, und bei der österreichischen Opernsängerin Ruthilde Boesch in Wien. Begonnen hat sie ihre internationale Karriere an der Wiener Staatsoper als Zerbinetta in ARIADNE AUF NAXOS unter der Leitung des österreichischen Dirigenten Karl Böhm. Edita Gruberova gelangte schnell zu Weltruhm und Anerkennung und wurde zu einer der gefragtesten Interpretinnen in den Rollen der Zerbinetta, Konstanze, Donna Anna, Rosina, Gilda, Violetta und Lucia, die sie unter anderem an den berühmtesten Opernhäuser in Mailand, London, New York, Paris, Berlin und Barcelona sang. Die gefeierte Opernsängerin wirkte auch in Opernverfilmungen wie Hänsel und Gretel, Rigoleto und Ariadne auf Naxos mit. Edita Gruberova ist Ehrenmitglied der Wiener Staatsoper und hat unter anderem die Auszeichnung für hervorragende Gesangsleistungen und den Verdienstorden der Republik Österreich erhalten. Sie ist nicht nur in der Opernszene, sondern auch als Konzert- und Liedsängerin international geschätzt. Am 8. März 2012 wird die Sopranisten bei ihrem Konzert in Hamburg von der Neuen Philharmonie Westfalen unter der Leitung von Andriy Yurkevych begleitet. Opernfans sollten sich diesen besonderen Abend der klassischen Musik nicht entgehen lassen.

Since 1908, the Laeiszhalle has been a meeting place for Hamburg's musical life. The neo-baroque Laeiszhalle Grand Hall accommodates over 2,000 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Facilities for ladies are located behind the cloakrooms on all floors. Facilities for gentlemen can be found on the landing between the floors, also located behind the cloakrooms.
A fully accessible toilet for persons with mobility disabilities is located behind the cloakroom on the ground floor (Parkett links).

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
