The future of mankind
In his new book Dirk Steffens, well-known Terra-X presenter and conservationist, deals with topics from the fields of nature, the environment, technology and science that many people are itching to know more about. He weighs up the pros and cons, avoids simple answers and questions apparent certainties. »Does it make sese to invest in nuclear power to delay the climate change?« is just one of the questions that will help decide what the future looks like for mankind.
Together with a number of clever people like Claudia Kemfert, Antje Boëtius and Mojib Latif, Steffens has discussed issues such as the consequences of species extinction, the benefits of and damage caused by agriculture, the condition of the oceans, the future composition of our woods and forests, the feasibility of ecological change in the business world, the climate crisis and the impact of consumption. Dirk Steffens will present his findings and his own ideas in a podium talk with Stefan Schmitt, business correspondent of the weekly paper DIE ZEIT.
