Sie ist eine der beliebtesten und meistgespielten Sinfonien überhaupt: Antonín Dvořáks Neunte Sinfonie mit dem Titel »Aus der Neuen Welt«. Gemeint ist Amerika, wo der tschechische Komponist sein Meisterwerk einst schrieb – und sich von der Musik der amerikanischen Ureinwohner inspirieren ließ, die er mit der Musiksprache seiner Heimat verband. Aus Übersee machen die Tschechischen Symphoniker Prag einen großen Sprung zurück in die Heimat und folgen in einer musikalischen Reise dem Flussverlauf der Moldau, mit Bedřich Smetana gleichnamiger Sinfonischer Dichtung.

Since 1908, the Laeiszhalle has been a meeting place for Hamburg's musical life. The neo-baroque Laeiszhalle Grand Hall accommodates over 2,000 guests.

  • Cloakrooms

    Cloakrooms are located in the foyer areas. Baby carriages, wheeled walkers, walking-stick umbrellas, handbags larger than DIN A3 (42 cm x 30 cm) as well as sport bags, backpacks and suitcases must be checked in at the cloakroom. If required, wheeled walkers can be parked in the immediate vicinity of the hall entrances. Our front of house staff is happy to assist you in this regard.

    The Recital Hall is only accessible to folding wheelchairs or wheelchairs under 68 cm in width.

    Three parking spaces for visitors with disabilities are located at the entrance on Gorch-Fock-Wall. Six parking spaces for visitors with disibilites are available in front of the Artists’ Entrance on Dragonerstall.
