Ein Jauchzer war es, der James Levine nach dem ersten Satz eines Violinkonzerts herausrutschte. Bei jedem anderen würde man daraufhin die Nase rümpfen, schließlich sind Begeisterungsbekundungen zwischen den Sätzen eines Werkes verpönt. So aber stellt sich doch die Frage: Welcher Solist schafft es, einen Konzertprofi wie Levine in solche Euphorie zu versetzen? Christian Tetzlaff schafft das. Und wenn man seine Karriere verfolgt hat, dann kann einen das nicht einmal mehr überraschen. Denn er gehört längst zu den berühmtesten und mitreißendsten Geigern der Welt. Nun kommt Christian Tetzlaff als Residenzkünstler der Elbphilharmonie Konzerte 2011/2012 für einen Soloabend mit Bachs Partiten und Solosonaten in seine Geburtsstadt Hamburg. Bach reizte in diesen Werken die Möglichkeiten der Violine bis an die Grenzen aus. Nachfolgenden Komponisten dienten die Werke als Vorbild und heute gehören sie fest zum Repertoire der großen Konzertviolinisten. Eine gute Gelegenheit also, sich selbst von Christian Tetzlaffs Können zu überzeugen. Ob es dabei auch zu Jauchzern kommen wird, ist noch offen – aber grundsätzlich sind Begeisterungsbekundungen jedweder Art selbstverständlich gestattet.

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
