Pianist, entertainer and Grammy award-winner Chilly Gonzales is as well-known for the intimate sound of his successful trilogy Solo Piano I-III as he is for his stage show and his compositions for other stars. He always strives to be a man of his time. Chilly Gonzales approaches the piano with a classical and jazz training, but with a rapper’s mindset. He writes and plays songs with artists like Jarvis Cocker, Feist and Drake, and at 27 hours he holds the Guinness world record for the longest solo concert ever given. In 2014 he won a Grammy for his cooperation with Daft Punk on their Album of the Year, while in 2018 the documentary »Shut Up and Play the Piano«, a retrospective of his career, premiered in the main programme of the Berlinale film festival. Now the Canadian artist is coming to Hamburg for not one but two concerts.
