Mit den Worten »leidend, weiblich, lyrisch« beschrieb Robert Schumann einmal das Wesen von Franz Schuberts Klaviertrios. Der Triosatz »Notturno« Es-Dur D 897, den Carolin Widmann, Nicolas Altstaedt und Alexander Lonquich an den Anfang ihres Recitals stellen, entstand kurz vor Schuberts Tod und ist ein wahres Klangexperiment. Streicher und Tasteninstrument tauschen immer wieder die Rollen bei der Präsentation begleitender Arpeggien und Themen. Mit Lonquich hat Widmann, die auch die »Sommerlichen Musiktage Hitzacker« leitet, bereits faszinierende Aufnahmen von Schuberts Violinwerken veröffentlicht. Mehr an Schumann als an Schubert orientierte sich Johannes Brahms in seinem Klaviertrio Nr. 2 C-Dur op. 87, das er selbst als Pianist mit zur Uraufführung brachte und das er ‒ anders als den Klaviertrio-Erstling ‒ nicht so eingehend überarbeitete. Mit dem zur Zeit der Siebten und Achten Symphonie entstandenen »Erzherzog-Trio« B-Dur op. 97 schließlich hat sich Beethoven bei der Uraufführung 1811 wegen seiner zunehmenden Taubheit als Pianist von seinem Publikum verabschiedet.

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
