Singer and composer Carla Bruni has been attracting the attention of the music community since her sensational 2002 debut album »Quelqu’un m’a dit«. Born as the daughter of an industrialist and a concert pianist in Turin, Bruni has lived in France since the age of five. Her meteoric rise to become one of the world’s most sought-after photo models began when she was 19. 2002 saw her swap the catwalk for the concert platform, and her first album became a million-seller. Her current programme »French Touch« is an eclectic mixture of classic pop, chanson and folk. Bruni herself calls the songs »the personal treasures of a sentimental trip down memory lane«: pop classics like Depeche Mode’s »Enjoy the Silence« and Lou Reed’s »A Perfect Day« rub shoulders here with evergreens, as well as with »Miss You« by Rolling Stones and even a cover of »Highway to Hell«. Who would have thought that Carla Bruni was an AC/DC fan?!
