Das Belcea Quartet hat sich mittlerweile zu einer Art geheimem, saisonübergreifenden Residenzquartett der Elbphilharmonie Konzerte entwickelt. Sein umjubelter Beethoven-Zyklus und zuletzt ein berührender Auftritt mit Thomas Quasthoff (als Sprecher) haben das Quartett um die rumänischstämmige Primaria Corina Belcea in der Gunst des Hamburger Publikums ganz nach oben katapultiert. Seinen Anfang nahm diese »Beziehung« in einem Konzert gemeinsam mit dem polnischen Klavierflüsterer Piotr Anderszewski – und genau in dieser Kombination kehren die Musiker nun wieder in die Laeiszhalle zurück. Auf dem Programm steht das Klavierquintett g-Moll von Dmitri Schostakowitsch, das raffiniert mit barocken und klassischen Formen spielt und zudem die engen Freundschaften dokumentiert, die der Komponist und Pianist mit den führenden russischen Streichern seiner Zeit pflegte. Ein elegantes und sprühendes Werk ist auch das Streichquartett Nr. 2 C-Dur op. 81 des Jubilars Benjamin Britten, das das Belcea Quartet in Hamburg zusammen mit ausgewählten frühbarocken Fantasien des Engländers Henry Purcell aufführt.

Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
