Description
Rhythmus ist Leben. Rhythmus ist in jedem Körper: als Pulsschlag,Herzschlag, Atem. Im Rhythmus wechseln die Jahreszeiten und tickt unser Tagesablauf. Unser ganzes Leben lang lässt uns die regelmäßige Motorik nicht los. Der Rhythmus spielt eine wichtige Rolle gerade für Menschen, die ständig in Bewegung sind – etwa Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene. Auch dann, wenn sie selbst kein Instrument spielen. BeatObsession ist eine Schlagwerkstatt, die Elbphilharmonie Kompass gemeinsam mit Kulturzentren in verschiedenen Hamburger Stadtteilen durchführt. Allwöchentlich besuchen Jugendliche einen zweistündigen Workshop, erproben Rhythmus allein und in der Gruppe, klopfen Alltagsgegenstände nach verborgenen Klängen ab, lernen außereuropäische Percussion-Instrumente kennen und erarbeiten schließlich mit professionellen Schlagzeug-Dozenten ein eigenes Stück, das sie beim Abschlusskonzert am 03. März 2012 im Studio E der Laeiszhalle aufführen.

Studio E has a charming small stage with direct daylight and offers seating for 150 people. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Laeiszhalle is not at the Elbphilharmonie
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.

Arrival time
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
