A passionate performance

»The Gaechinger Cantorey is an experience. The interpreters work their magic, and the Grand Hall works its magic too« wrote Marcus Stäbler in the Hamburger Abendblatt after the choir’s Elbphilharmonie debut with conductor Hans-Christoph Rademann last year. The ensemble now returns to the Grand Hall to present Johann Sebastian Bach’s St John Passion. Outstanding soloists join the Gaechinger Cantorey for the performance, among them the tenor Benedikt Kristjánsson, whom the FAZ recently called »one of the best Bach singers of our time«.
