Seit seinem spektakulären Erfolg beim Internationalen Musikwettbewerb der ARD 2012, bei dem das Armida Quartett mit dem 1. Preis, dem Publikumspreis sowie sechs weiteren Sonderpreisen ausgezeichnet wurde, hat sich die Karriere des jungen Berliner Streichquartetts sensationell entwickelt. Inzwischen konzertiert das Quartett im In- und Ausland. Auch bei den namhaften Sommerfestivals gab das Armida Quartett bereits sein Debüt – so beim Schleswig-Holstein, dem Rheingau Musikfestival, dem Festival Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, dem Davos Festival sowie beim Heidelberger Frühling. Im September 2014 wurde das Quartett in die BBC Reihe »New Generation Artists« aufgenommen, in deren Rahmen sich das Ensemble zwei Jahre lang mit diversen Konzerten und Rundfunkaufnahmen präsentieren kann. 2006 wurde das Quartett in Berlin gegründet und studierte bei Mitgliedern des Artemis Quartetts. Musikalische Anregungen erhielt das Ensemble außerdem von Natalia Prischepenko sowie von Alfred Brendel, Tabea Zimmermann, Eberhard Feltz und Walter Levin. Meisterkurse mit dem Alban Berg, Guarneri und Arditti Quartett rundeten die Ausbildung ab. Derzeit arbeitet das Quartett mit Rainer Schmidt sowie Reinhard Goebel. Seit Oktober 2012 unterrichten die vier jungen Musiker Kammermusik an der Universität der Künste Berlin.

Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
