So entspannt und fruchtbar kann das deutsch-polnische Verhältnis sein, wenn die Musik Taktgefühl und Tonfall bestimmt, wenn Beethoven und Schumann die Kollegen Chopin und Szymanowski in ihre Mitte nehmen: Das Ensemble Apollon Musagète, 2003 in Wien von vier polnischen Studenten gegründet und benannt nach dem Anführer der Musen, hat sich binnen weniger Jahre im Spitzenfeld (oder um im Bild zu bleiben: im Olymp) der Streichquartettszene etabliert. Sein »schwindelerregend hohes Niveau« (Süddeutsche Zeitung) hat die Juroren des ARD-Wettbewerbs 2008, bei dem die Formation den 1. Preis und drei Sonderpreise gewann, ebenso überwältigt wie Zuhörer in aller Welt. In Hamburg setzt Apollon Musagète nun nicht nur mit Klassikern des Repertoires Glanzlichter, sondern auch mit einem Kuriosum – Chopins süffiger Opernarie für Klavier in der Bearbeitung für Streichquartett.

Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
