The Amatis Piano Trio was formed in 2013 by three young musicians: the violinist Lea Hausmann from Germany, British cellist Samuel Shepherd and Chinese-Dutch pianist Mengjie Han. The trio has already won a number of prizes, and performed in Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw and London’s Wigmore Hall. They now open the »Rising Stars« series in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall with piano trios from various eras.
