Other continents can also boast rich »classical« music traditions, forms of music that have been taught and practiced at the highest level for centuries and that have reached a corresponding level of sophistication. The »Klassik der Welt« series presents these tradition-steeped musical forms in the concentrated ambience of the Recital Hall. This time the spectrum includes age-old liturgical chanting from Armenia, ecstatic qawwali music from Pakistan and classical Persian music.
