Niklas Schmidt, long-standing cellist in the Fontenay Trio, member of the Fine Arts Quartet and professor at Hamburg’s Musikhochschule, has put together a top-class programme for the International Mendelssohn Festival he initiated.

The subscription series consists of eleven concerts: seven in the Recital Halls of the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle (see below) and four in St. Johannis-Harvestehude Church.
