Press Kit: Elbphilharmonie Hamburg Media information, dates and facts related to the Elbphilharmonie building, its architects and its music programme.

Press Information

The Elbphilharmonie lies in the Port of Hamburg as a flagship of great music. The Herzog & de Meuron architecture firm designed the spectacular
glass structure to rest on top of a former warehouse of brick. The concert venue, which first opened in 2017, is visible from afar, and houses two concert halls, a public viewing area that is accessible during the day and provides a panorama of the port and the city (the Plaza), a hotel, cafes and restaurants, and a car park.

In the Grand Hall, music becomes an unforgettable communal experience in an intimate atmosphere: the acoustics are modern and clear, and every seat offers a superb view.
